Beschreibung

A dual-system electric railcar which can operate on tram and train systems. There are 3 versions included.

Technical specifications:

  • Maximum speed: 90 km/h
  • Power:  560 kW
  • Towing force: 270 until 300 kN
  • Availability: from 1991

The GT8-100C/2S electric railcars are vehicles designed for dual-system light rail operation on the Karlsruhe light rail network. Four cars were owned by DB Regio and were classified as class 450/850. The GT8-100C/2S was the world's first dual-system light rail vehicle to go into series production.
