Placenames (176 countries)

Placenames lets you choose a country at the start of a new game and names your cities after it.

• Up to 30 biggest cities per country (not just random cities)
• Hundreds of street names taken from the biggest cities in that country, automatically renaming your bus and tram stops
• If your map has more than 30 cities, the rest get generic fallback names, typical of that country -> US gets Springfields and Franklins, Poland gets Warmątowice Sienkiewiczowskie and Siemieniakowszczyzna. 

Things to know

• This mod is for new games. To rename stops in a save you're already playing, use Local Stops.
• Placenames doesn't break your save. You can disable it later, or delete it completely, and your save will still load. Names stay.
• Not all countries have equal representation. If you want to add some cities or streets or correct some error, just go to %modfolder%/names/ :         — fallbacks.lua is for the generic town names         — streets.lua is the list of streets         — towns.lua is for the cities

It works well alongside Local Stops: Placenames names your cities when you start, and Local Stops puts streets to correct places. Using only Placenames means your streets might not match the city they're in.  Both are part of the Local Flavor collection, a collection of mods to make it easier to bring your local town to Transport Fever 3.
