Beschreibung

Buses, trams, trains and ships show the next stop on their displays, with the line number beside it. Every vehicle on a line shows the same number, taken from the line's own name. Your vehicles and lines keep their own names. Nothing is renamed, and nothing runs while you play, so it works alongside line naming mods and costs no performance in big saves. === WHAT YOU GET === - Front displays The line number and the next stop. Two-way trams and trains get the same at both ends. A display without a number box of its own is split into the two. - Side displays Wide side displays show the line number and the next stop, as on real buses and trams. Narrow ones show the next stop. - Route instead of the next stop (option) Name a line after its route, such as "12 Central - Airport", and the front and side displays can show 12 in the number box and "Central - Airport" beside it. A route names both ends, so it is right in both directions. - Rear displays Buses and one-way trams show the line number only, as on real vehicles. A tram with one driver's cab is one-way, a tram with a cab at each end is two-way. Two-way trams and trains are left alone, because their back becomes the front when they turn. - Displays of their era Roller blinds (unlit) before 1975. Yellow-green flip-dot until 2000. The model's own LED colour after that. Or choose one LED colour for all: amber, white or yellow. - Shorter stop names, as real displays write them Berlin Hauptbahnhof -> Berlin Hbf Stockholm Centralstation -> Stockholm C Amsterdam Centraal -> Amsterdam C Neustadt Bahnhof -> Neustadt Bf Main Street -> Main St, Market Square -> Market Sq, Park Avenue -> Park Ave, Abbey Road -> Abbey Rd A trailing "Station" is dropped. === LINE NUMBERS === The number comes from the line's name: - [M1] in the name, or (M1) when the brackets hold a line number - else the first word with a digit (12, T1, S2) - else the first word Name a line "12 Westend - Harbour" and every vehicle on it shows 12. You can also choose "Digits only". === YOUR LINE NAMES WORK AS THEY ARE === - Line numbers in square brackets, such as "City Line [X1]", are read the same way as in Improved Destination Displays. You can switch between the two mods without renaming a single line. - Auto Line Namer: names like "Bus Passengers-Spr-She-IC-1" show the line's number (1). Lines protected with "Cst" show their first word after it. - Your own names: "M1 (Metro)" shows M1, "Night bus N12" shows N12. === NOTHING RUNS WHILE YOU PLAY === The displays are set once while the game loads the vehicles. - No script runs in your game. - No vehicle or line is renamed. - Nothing is stored in your save. Safe to add to or remove from any save. === WORKS WITH === The base game and modded vehicles that have displays. Painted (unlit) displays keep their colours, because they match the model's own background. === KNOWN ISSUES WITH OTHER MODS === - Realistic Environment Pro (REP), snow on the ground On some vehicle models the roof is raised by the snow layer, and the display then sits in the wrong place. This comes from how the two mods meet on those models, not from the display rules. Without snow, or without REP, the displays sit where they should. - Other display mods Do not use this mod together with another mod that rewrites the same displays, for example Improved Destination Displays. The displays would show a mix of the two. The game log names such a mod if it is found. === FOR VEHICLE MODDERS === You can tell the mod what each display of your vehicle should show, in the model's metadata: nextStopDisplays = { skip = true, -- leave all displays as you made them style = false, -- keep your own display colours labels = { [1] = "split", [2] = "number", [3] = "keep" }, } Roles per display (1 = first in labelList.labels): stop, number, line, split, blank, keep. The field is read and removed again while the model loads. === SETTINGS === - Front displays - Side displays - Rear displays - Display style - Shorter stop names - Line number source - On/off per vehicle type: buses, trams, trains, ships Every option has a tooltip, in all 13 languages of the game. === ALSO FROM THE SAME AUTHOR === Realistic Seat Capacity: passenger capacity follows the real vehicle where known, and the seats modelled in each vehicle otherwise. Search for "Realistic Seat Capacity" on mod.io.
