Weather Effects

Compatibility finding: Weather Effects may not be compatible with every mod that changes vehicle speed. We found that Realistic Environment Pro (REP) on Harsh can slow trains and send them to a depot in deep snow. This may explain reports of trains crawling in winter.

- Red status button: If REP or Just More Weather manages speed, Auto compatibility pauses Weather Effects. Click the red button for details. Choose Override only if you want both mods to adjust speed.

- In-game settings: Click the rain-cloud button. Choose the weather and vehicles you want. Only matching strength settings appear. Your choices are saved with the game.

- Road speeds: Full rain defaults to 5%. Choose 0%, 5%, 10% or 15%. Snow has a separate road setting from 0% to 40%. Road rain is tested. Road snow is beta. Other snow and wind effects are monitoring only, and aircraft speed control is unavailable.

- Weather and Time uses the original game slider and weather icons.

- Before removing: Choose Prepare removal, then Restore Default Speeds. Unpause for at least 10 seconds. When Cleanup complete shows zero adjusted vehicles, save before disabling the mod. Repeat for each affected save.
