VERSION 4.0 - Arched deck: the grade can now be set separately at each end. - New asset "Akashi Kaikyo bridge support" (Road assets > Misc): a pier or two-legged portal of any width and height, to add piers where the game leaves them out. - Fixed: bulldozing a bridge with free roads or tracks could leave pieces behind that couldn't be removed. - Fixed: light effects casting shadows. VERSION 3.0 - Narrow highway: a highway on the bridge runs with 1 m shoulders and widens to a standard highway at each end, so approaches connect cleanly. - Remodelled anchorages in textured grey concrete, with a sloping back face. Their cable housings take over the shoulder where the road widens, and the cables run cleanly into them. - The median between the two road decks is paved to match the highway, with worn hatching. - Tower caissons: the white top now reaches the leg pedestals, and the rim blocks reach deeper into the water. - Approach bridge type: highway shoulders paved in asphalt, and the deck now fills the gap between two parallel approaches. VERSION 2.0 - Arched deck: the deck can rise in an even curve from both ends to the middle, set by its grade at the ends (0-6%). Towers, cables and anchorages follow it. - Remodelled towers after the real ones: faceted cruciform legs that lean in and rise past the top strut to sloping tops, with X bracing meeting in smoothly rounded crossings. - New tower footings: a round caisson ringed with concrete blocks, with a white concrete top and square pedestals under the legs. - Detailed main cables in the bridge's colour: cable bands, catwalk handropes and paired hanger ropes. - Better proportions on wide decks: slimmer tower members and taller towers (capped on long spans). - Much cheaper: building, running and approach costs are a tenth of before. VERSION 1.0 - Carries road, rail, or road + rail (1 to 4 tracks between two road decks; a highway runs one way on each side). - Any road type and track type, with or without catenary. - Main span 400-2000 m (real: 1991 m), side spans 100-1000 m (real: 960 m), deck height 20-120 m (real: about 80 m). - Roads and tracks on the bridge: free (upgrade roads, place signals) or locked to the bridge. - Night illumination (off, soft or bright): floodlit towers, coloured lights along the cables, road lamps and red lights round the tower bases. - Blinking aircraft warning lights on the tower tops. - Bridge types: "Akashi Kaikyo Bridge approach" for building approaches and "Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (whole bridge)" over a bridge you draw.
