Beschreibung

=== PART OF TRANSPORT REWORK MOD ===

Every cargo vehicle carries what its real counterpart carries.

In the base game a horse cart carries almost five tons and a container ship a tenth of a real coaster's load. With this mod a modern hopper wagon goes from 18 to 29 units, a horse cart from 4 to 2 and a coaster from 80 to 220, in the base game's own units.

=== FEATURES ===

  • Real payloads. Every freight wagon, truck, cargo tram, cargo aircraft and ship on the list moves toward its real payload by an adjustable share. At the default half strength, every difference from the base game is halved in proportion.
  • Per mode. Rail and tram, road, air and ship capacities can each be scaled on top of the realism correction.
  • Any-cargo penalty. Vehicles that carry any cargo type lose a little capacity for the pallets and gaps their flexibility costs.
  • Empty weights. Nineteen trucks and wagons that are far off their real tare get their real empty weight, which affects acceleration and hill climbing only.
  • Loading time and weight follow. Loading speed scales with the capacity, so loading times stay as they were, and a loaded vehicle weighs what its new capacity implies.
  • Other mods' vehicles too. Cargo vehicles from other mods are corrected from their own model data (wagons by axle count and era, trucks, trams and aircraft by the average correction of their era, cargo ships by size), and exactly where this mod has figures for them: the Urban Games packs Early Road Vehicles, Classic Trucks and Classic Ships, the Scania R-Series, Mercedes-Benz Actros L, MAN F2000 and Freightliner M2 106 truck sets, and the Damen Universal Freighter and Siri Kanal 85 ships.
  • Nothing else changes. No cargo type, industry, town or price is touched.

=== SETTINGS ===

  • Realism Strength ("25%" to "100%", default "50%"). How far each cargo vehicle's capacity moves toward its real payload. Every freight wagon, truck, cargo tram, cargo aircraft and ship has a real payload in tons. At "100%" a vehicle carries exactly that, in the base game's units of 1.2 t each, and at "50%" every difference from the base game is halved in proportion, so a modern hopper wagon goes from 18 to 29 units instead of 48 and a horse cart from 4 to 2 instead of 1. Ships use 80% of this value, because their differences are far larger.
  • Rail and Tram Capacity, Road Capacity, Air Capacity, Ship Capacity ("60%" to "140%", default "100%"). Scale the corrected capacity of one transport mode on top of the realism correction. "100%" keeps the corrected capacity. Lower values mean more vehicles per load, higher values fewer.
  • Any-Cargo Penalty ("0%" to "20%", default "10%"). How much capacity vehicles that carry any cargo type lose for the pallets and gaps their flexibility costs. Applies to the universal wagons, trucks, trams and small ships, not to aircraft, which have no specialized alternative. "0%" removes the penalty.
  • Unlisted Vehicles ("Base Game", "Estimated", default "Estimated"). What happens to cargo vehicles from other mods that this mod has no figures for. "Estimated" gives them a real payload read from their model file: wagons by axle count and era, which lands within 10% on the base game's own fleet, trucks, trams and aircraft by the average correction of their era, cargo ships by size; ships that also carry passengers are left alone. "Base Game" leaves every unlisted vehicle at its author's capacity. Vehicles with known figures, the base game's fleet and the packs named under Features, always use those.
  • Empty Weights ("Base Game", "Corrected", default "Corrected"). Whether the empty weights of nineteen trucks and wagons are corrected to their real tare. In the base game a Falns hopper wagon weighs 40 t empty for a real 24.5 t, a GAZ 3307 truck 10 t for 3.2 t, the 1915 gondola twice its real weight and the Steam Truck a fifth of it. "Corrected" sets the real empty weight on the Falns, Zacns, the 1912 tank car, the 1915 gondola, the 1930 box car, the 1940 gondola, the 1945 stake car, the 1960 cargo car and the Hbis box car, and on the Steam Truck, Benz 3-Ton, Mack AC, GMC 660, Peterbilt, Kenworth, GAZ 3307, Volvo FH12, FAW J6P and Urban eTruck. Empty weight only affects acceleration and hill climbing, never capacity or price.

=== INGAME EXAMPLES ===

  • Modern hopper wagon (Falns): 18 units in the base game, 29 at the default, 48 at "100%".
  • Semi-trailer: 30, now 25. Horse cart: 4, now 2. Hercules cargo aircraft: 33, now 24.
  • Coaster: 80, now 220. Container ship: 120, now 415.

=== COMPATIBILITY ===

Vehicles already in a save take the new capacities when the game is loaded, so adding or removing the mod changes the fleet at once and the game flags both. Cargo vehicles from other mods are corrected as well, estimated from their model data unless this mod lists them; set "Unlisted Vehicles" to "Base Game" to leave them alone. Option changes take effect at the next load. Not to be combined with "TRM: Heavy Cargo", which rewrites the same capacities. Works with "Realistic Seat Capacity", which changes passenger capacities. Keep it above this mod in the mod list, so that vehicles converted from Transport Fever 2 have their passengers named correctly before this mod reads them. On the few vehicles that carry passengers or cargo, its line in the purchase window then quotes the cargo before this mod's correction, while the capacity the game shows is the corrected one.
