Shinkansen N700 Series | 新幹線N700系

Bring five Shinkansen variants to your rail network! This mod includes the JR West N700-7000 Series, JR Kyushu N700-8000 Series, N700A, N700A Refurbished (modified units), and N700S Supreme.

The N700-7000 and N700-8000 Series offer Sakura and Mizuho services, while the N700A, N700A Refurbished, and N700S offer Nozomi, Hikari, and Kodama services. Each train is available in both 8-car and 16-car configurations on standard-gauge track (1,435 mm), with the formation selectable from the purchase menu. The 16-car Sakura and Mizuho formations, along with the 8-car N700A, N700A Refurbished, and N700S formations, are additional options created specifically for gameplay.

The N700-7000 and N700-8000 Series become available in 2011, both N700A variants in 2013, and the N700S in 2020. All trains have a maximum speed of 300 km/h and require electrified tracks. Recommended platform lengths are approximately 205 m for 8-car trains and 405 m for 16-car trains.

Features include detailed interiors, Green Car markings, authentic JR company logos and car numbers, centrally positioned door indicator lights, and two-stage sliding door animations. Large destination displays and smaller reserved/non-reserved seating displays alternate between Japanese and English. Upcoming station names are automatically taken from your in-game routes.

The mod features authentic N700 Series running sounds, horns, and door sounds, while retaining the game's default wheel and rail sounds. The original body and seat geometry has also been preserved.

To use the trains, simply enable Shinkansen N700 Series and open the electric train purchase menu. No additional mods are required.
