Sticky Notes

The simplest way to leave yourself a note in the game. Shift-click the pin button in the top bar, click on the map, type, press Enter. That's it: your note sits on a pin right where you need it, "double this track", "new coal mine here", "bus bunching on Main St".

Everything else happens right on the pin: hover to read, click to edit, drag to move, Shift-click to delete. No menus to dig through, no tool to pick first.

Features

• Add in two clicks: Shift-click the Sticky Notes button (the pin in the top bar), then click on the map. A small box opens next to the new pin: type the note, Enter saves. Or open the window and use Add note.
• Edit, move, delete on the map: hover a pin to read its note, click it to edit the text, drag it somewhere else, Shift-click it to delete it.
• Every note in one list: newest first, with its nearest town and date. One click on a note's buttons moves the camera there, opens it for editing or deletes it.
• Show pins on map: one checkbox hides or shows all pins.
• Saved with the game: notes, pins and the window's position come back when you load the save.

Settings

• Top bar button (default Icon): the button that opens the window. Icon: a locate icon on a dark tile, like the game's data layers button. Text: the word "Notes".

Notes

• Up to 200 notes per game, each up to 200 characters.
• Pins are part of the interface, not objects in the world, and notes are stored with the savegame's interface data, not in the simulation: safe to add to or remove from existing saves.
• Pins hide while the camera follows a vehicle, like the rest of the interface.
